Job Description

Our studio develops online games with demanding networking requirements that serve huge player bases across PCs, consoles and mobile devices. We are looking for an experienced and talented software engineer to join our team.
What you'll do:

  • Be responsible for maintaining a custom C++ engine and porting it to modern consoles
  • Update 2D graphics code to support new consoles and new features
  • Investigate performance problems and implement optimizations to fix them
  • Write reliable and maintainable code without AI assistance that can safely handle a growing user-base
  • Test your own code thoroughly and assist QA in formulating a test plan for features you've developed
Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years of prior professional programmer experience
  • 3+ years of prior work experience in a professional video game studio
  • Prior professional experience working with game console SDKs and graphics APIs
  • Solid knowledge of programming languages and concepts
  • Ability to break down problems into well organized concepts and tasks
  • Ability to manage your own work and operate independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work and collaborate well with programmers, designers and artists
  • A passion for video games and delivering the best player experience

We also appreciate:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Recent experience directly programming without relying on AI tools
