Job description

The Sales/Marketing Specialist is a key member of the Waukegan Steel (WS) pre-con/sales team and will provide marketing-related support to the execution of the commercial strategy of the Company. This highly visible position gathers and communicates sales and marketing information across WS to equip the pre-con/sales team with the information and tools to drive sales/revenue volume growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain and manage customer database to support existing sales funnel template strategy
• Reach out to potential customers to introduce WS, review resources and capabilities
• Assist in evaluating and generating bid opportunities
• Follow up on bid/quote submissions, generate introductory meetings, and promote strong customer relationships
• Develop all marketing collateral: brochures (physical & electronic), press releases, etc.
• Partner with outside marketing and web design consultants to enhance our online presence
• Monitor website activity and content to ensure an optimal experience for WS website visitors, report on SEO progress and other online analytics
• Manage WS social media presence and assist in identifying and developing relevant content as part of an overall marketing strategy
Education and Experience:
• Education Required: Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in sales & marketing
• 2+ years of experience in a marketing role supporting sales organizations
• Experience working with a CRM such as Salesforce
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook & SharePoint
• Analytical & detail oriented
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, collaborative environment
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and communications skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented individual with the ability towork independently
• Ability to effectively manage a high volume of requests in a professional manner
• Self-motivated and able to prioritize multiple requests
