Producer Communications Manager

At Certified Angus Beef, we're looking for a Producer Communications Manager to bridge industry insight with compelling content and measurable impact. The ideal candidate thrives on project management, creating multi-channel content, and bringing clarity to complex topics for cattlemen. One day you might be collaborating on a content strategy or analyzing engagement metrics; the next, you're capturing stories from a feedyard, coordinating marketing for a major industry event, or working on a campaign that connects producers to premium opportunities.

Essential Functions:
  • Collaborate on the development and execution of communications strategy to reach seedstock breeders, commercial producers, cattle feeders and allied industry.
  • Lead social media content development and metrics reporting.
  • Manage content updates for www.CABcattle.com, working closely with the web team.
  • Measure digital success using available tools to understand key message reach.
  • Collaborate with the design team to have a consistent style with all materials targeted to cattlemen.
  • Oversee producer-facing email marketing and content, including the Cattlemen Connection digital newsletter.
  • Formulates strategy to increase engagement with all e-news.
  • Contribute to all producer communications (writing, photography, social media, email marketing and video production) for supply development.
  • Serve as project manager for key marketing and outreach efforts.
  • Works as liaison to the events team for producer events, such as Angus Convention, Feeding Quality Forum, Cattle Industry Convention and NCBA Trade Show, National Junior Angus Show, and more.
  • Develop and execute marketing plans for various brand initiatives and supply development events, including Targeting the Brand™ and Feeding Quality Forum.
  • Lead annual award story trip planning and execution.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
Education/Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
  • Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, in ag communications, journalism or animal science degree with a communications option, or a related field; and
  • 3-5 or more years of progressively responsible experience in related field.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Omni-channel content creation. Experience in digital media (social media, website content, photography, video) and ability to write in multiple disciplines is required.
  • Marketing plan development and execution.
  • Strong project management skills, including organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize assignments. Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems
  • Proficient use of programs and platforms needed to complete tasks (Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, and project management platforms)
  • Experience with DSLR camera and additional equipment necessary for photo and video purposes
  • Professional, with ability to represent brand to external stakeholders
  • Strong agriculture background and working knowledge of the beef industry

Location: This position is located in Wooster, Ohio. Remote work considered, preference placed on working in the Ohio office.
Travel: Must be willing and able to travel (car or airplane), up to approximately 20%. May require overnight travel and/or weekend work.
