What is a walrus?

Walruses are large marine mammals known for their long tusks, whiskers, and distinctive appearance. They are found primarily in Arctic regions and spend much of their time on sea ice or in cold ocean waters. Walruses use their tusks to help pull themselves onto ice, break breathing holes, and for defense. They primarily feed on clams and other bottom-dwelling organisms, using their sensitive whiskers to locate food. Walruses play an important role in the Arctic ecosystem and are a key species for Indigenous cultures in the region.

Job description

Walrus Rodeo is a wood-fired Michelin Recommended restaurant in Miami’s Little Haiti from the team behind 1 Michelin Star Boia De, where nearly every dish runs through a live-fire oven and the menu is built around bold, ingredient-driven cooking. The food leans Italian but isn’t stuck to it—seasonal, evolving, and rooted in strong technique without overcomplicating things. The kitchen is tight, fast, and collaborative, with a real focus on consistency, awareness, and pushing each other to cook better every day. We take the food seriously, but not ourselves, and we’re looking for cooks who care about the work, pay attention to detail, and want to be part of a team that’s engaged, curious, and always improving.

Named one of The NY Times 50 best restaurants in the country and one of The Infatuations highest rated restaurants.

Full time cooks work 10+ hours per day, 4 days per week to enjoy a long weekend!

Perks include 50% health insurance, 50% dining discounts, daily family meals, free parking, and putting a Michelin star on your resume!

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
