Summary
In this role, the Associate Recruiter will be responsible for supporting recruitment and assisting in coordinating programs for all business functions at Oncor. This role will assist the Talent Acquisition Team in managing full-cycle recruiting and onboarding efforts for roles across Oncor.
This position requires a results-driven, detail-oriented candidate with excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills. This candidate must have a customer service mindset and a willingness to support all teams across the organization.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned. Under direct supervision, the incumbent will:
  • Assist in the implementation of recruitment initiatives and programs to attract talent to Oncor.
  • Schedule and attend career events at colleges, technical schools, and partner high schools.
  • Support intern programs across the business with onboarding, communication, and feedback collection.
  • Present the employer value proposition to prospective candidates through on campus and virtual events.
  • Assist in processing hires; ensure offer letters are issued to candidates who have been extended offers of employment and follow-up letters are issued to candidates who are not selected.
  • Coordinate job postings on all hiring platforms and websites.
  • Maintain inventory of recruiting materials and coordinate getting materials to the business recruiters as needed.
  • Assist hiring managers with questions regarding recruiting, interviewing, screening, assessment, and selection techniques, and ensure the interview process is facilitated and closed effectively.
  • Assist candidates with questions regarding the recruiting process, onboarding, and other programming items.
  • Maintain records of applicants, offers, new hires, promotions, and transfers as required for reporting purposes.
  • Effectively screen candidates to determine qualifications based on job requirements.

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree or higher in Business, Human Resource Management, or another related field is preferred.
  • Experience or internships in customer service or HR preferred.
  • 2 or more years of experience in a customer-facing role (e.g. recruiting, customer service, sales) is required.

Skills
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and/or candidate relationship management systems is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret company policies and procedures, employment laws, and general business documents.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals or groups.
  • Ability to work and promote cooperation in a cross-functional or collaborative environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
