M H Masonry Associates Inc is seeking an experienced, safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator with hands-on experience operating an all-terrain telehandler, including equipment such as the JLG 1055/1053 class of rough-terrain telehandlers. This role is ideal for operators who are proficient in operating heavy machinery, have a clean driving record, and take pride in being a critical part of the construction process. Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate heavy equipment, with a primary focus on all-terrain telehandlers / rough-terrain forklifts used to move, lift, stage, and place materials on active construction sites.

  • Operate additional equipment as needed, including mini excavators, skid steers, loaders, compactors, and dozers.

  • Transport materials to designated work areas while maintaining load stability, clear communication with ground crews, and awareness of pedestrians, terrain, slopes, and overhead hazards.

  • Read and follow equipment load charts and manufacturer operating limits for telehandler work.

  • Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections, identify mechanical or safety issues, and report maintenance needs promptly.

  • Complete grading, trenching, excavation, site preparation, and general equipment support duties as assigned.

  • Follow company safety procedures, OSHA expectations, and site-specific rules at all times.

  • Assist with general labor and material handling when equipment operation is not required.

  • Maintain punctual attendance, professional conduct, and reliable jobsite performance.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of heavy equipment operating experience in construction, civil, utility, masonry, or related field environments.

  • Demonstrated experience operating an all-terrain telehandler, such as a JLG 1055/1053 or similar rough-terrain forklift.

  • Proficiency operating excavators, skid steers, dozers, loaders, and other common jobsite machinery.

  • Strong understanding of telehandler safety, including pre-operation inspection, seatbelt use, load limits, traveling with loads low, and safe operation on uneven terrain.

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and on active construction sites.

  • Willingness to assist with general labor when needed.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

  • Clean driving record

  • CDL Class A preferred or willingness to obtain.

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred; company-provided training available.

  • GPS machine control experience preferred but not required.
