Description:
Summary: Promote all aspects of the business including selling, pricing and merchandising the store. Promote a high level of customer service by ensuring customers are assisted in an enthusiastic, timely, and knowledgeable manner.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Greet customers immediately, determine their needs, and handle all transactions in an enthusiastic and professional manner. *
2. Opening and/or closing responsibilities including but not limited to: responsibility for key, opening and closing the store on a timely basis and according to schedule, balancing, opening/closing the till and responsibility for deposits as needed. *
3. Become familiar with products, brands and prices and make recommendations of products, including their features and benefits, to suit customers' needs. Maximize sales and customer satisfaction by adding items to the close of the sale. *
4. Instruct store staff regarding job responsibilities, delegating tasks to sales associates as needed in an effort to work in the most efficient and productive manner and meet store goals. *
5. Minimizes customer complaints through effective customer service in accordance with store policy. *
6. Follows up on all customer inquiries and/or complaints and establishes conclusions in a timely manner. *
7. Buy used and safe products according to the Children's Safety Product Commission guidelines, reinforcing the customers' purchases and sales to the store. Invite customer to return to the store to buy, sell, or trade and promote image of store concept. *
8. Assists with sales/buying presentations and with buying decisions. *
9. Price and ticket items appropriately based on pricing/buying guidelines. Restock store following merchandising plan. Maintain store displays and follow store housekeeping and maintenance standards and procedures. *
10. Develop proficiency in operating the point of sale system in the store for all sale transactions. *
11. Functions as role model to staff by promoting and modeling superior customer service to all customers, performing all store functions as necessary, demonstrating good work habits, encouraging clean and safe work habits and promoting positive attitudes towards customers. Insures that all store associates understand and support the pursuit of superior service. *
12. Insure merchandise receiving and ticketing occur in a timely manner so that merchandise can be processed to the selling floor for sale. *
13. Establishes and promotes effective internal sales specials on a regular basis. *
14. Maintains the facilities of the store to produce high quality service/products at the lowest possible cost. *
15. Establish and maintain appropriate security procedures including computer cash register, open/close procedures and ensuring cash drawers are reconciled accurately on a daily basis. *
16. Maintain store standards according to corporate policy. *
17. Achieve personal and store goals by applying sound customer service and sales protocol. *
18. Coordinates special projects as needed.
19. Produce weekly management reports. *
20. Other duties as assigned.

Supervises 5+ employees in a retail store. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Must successfully complete LEADS certification.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred. Minimum of one year experience working in a retail or similar environment is required; Prior Supervisory experience is preferred but not required. Must be able to work at least 3 shifts per week and be available weekends. Speaking Polish or Spanish and/or daytime availability a plus. Must successfully complete LEADS certification.
