Job Description:

The Ripple Glass Program Manager is responsible for the growth, performance, and day-to-day operations of Ripple Glass's Kansas City Metro-area glass recycling program and additional markets in Atlanta, Georgia, and St Louis, Missouri. This role leads the expansion and optimization of both the public drop-off network and commercial collection programs while driving community engagement, increasing participation, and ensuring operational excellence.

Reporting to the Director of Sustainability, the Program Manager works cross-functionally with Operations, Logistics, and Commercial teams, as well as external partners including municipalities, businesses, and community organizations. This position is based in the Kansas City Metro area and supports regional processing facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Drop-off Program Growth & Network Development

Recruit, onboard, and retain high-quality bin host locations for drop-off sites

Maintain a strong pipeline of prospective partners and expansion opportunities

Identify and execute strategies to increase participation and material recovery across residential and commercial channels

Evaluate site performance and recommend improvements to optimize network coverage

Commercial Program & Sales

Identify, pursue, and secure new commercial customers (e.g., bars, restaurants, multi-family communities)

Develop proposals, negotiate agreements, and with coordination with logistics, onboarding of new accounts, including coordinating bin delivery and setup

Manage and grow existing commercial accounts, providing ongoing support and maintaining strong relationships

Maintain accurate customer records and support CRM/account management processes

Operations & Logistics Coordination

In coordination with logistics, oversee the service and performance of all active drop-off and commercial collection locations

Coordinate and dispatch collection for roll-off containers across the metro area

Monitor fill levels, contamination, and site conditions to ensure efficient operations

Support the fulfillment and distribution of residential/home collection bins

Partnerships & Community Engagement

Build and maintain relationships with host partners, commercial customers, municipalities, and community organizations

Serve as a primary point of contact for program stakeholders and public inquiries

Represent Ripple Glass at events, meetings, and industry forums

Outreach, Education & Marketing Collaboration

Plan and execute outreach campaigns and education initiatives for both residents and businesses

Develop and support targeted marketing efforts to drive commercial participation, including case studies, newsletters, and promotional materials

Capture and share content (photos, program highlights) to support brand presence and engagement

Promote best practices to reduce contamination and improve participation

Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Track and analyze program data, including volumes, participation, and site performance across both drop-off and commercial programs

Produce reports, program updates, and insights for internal and external stakeholders

Conduct site and bin audits to monitor material quality and inform training or operational improvements

Document processes, customer information, and program learnings to support continuous improvement

Collaborate with leadership to set goals and measure program success

Assist with special projects and strategic initiatives

Qualifications

3-6 years of experience in program management, operations, account management, business development, or similar roles with external stakeholder interaction

Demonstrated ability to manage projects while building and maintaining customer or partner relationships

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science or Studies, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance day-to-day operations and growth initiatives

Excellent communication skills, including public-facing and relationship management experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM or data tracking tools preferred

Occasional travel, night and weekend work required
