How You’ll Contribute
  • Process assurance from concept to launch: Partner with new product development to plan supplier quality, perform risk assessments, and define APQP deliverables; oversee PPAP to production readiness.
  • Supplier qualification and growth: Team with Sourcing to evaluate and select suppliers, conduct capability and process audits, drive corrective actions, and mentor partners on our quality expectations.
  • Deviation and cost control: Lead nonconforming material disposition and cost recovery, coordinate with Quality Control on fault classification and escalation, and verify the effectiveness of 8D root cause and corrective actions.
  • Data and visibility: Track and report key metrics—PPM, issues by source, closure rates—to the Global SQE Manager.
  • Continuous improvement: Identify risk in products and processes, recommend preventive measures, and collaborate with design teams to improve manufacturability and quality.
What You Bring
  • Proven supplier quality expertise in manufacturing; heavy equipment experience is a big plus.
  • Hands‑on auditing and quality management systems experience.
  • Fluency with measurement systems, assembly practices, and interpreting mechanical drawings.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and comfort using quality control software and analysis tools.
  • Skilled in quality improvement and problem‑solving methods (5 Whys, 8D).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or purchasing.
  • ASQ Certified Supplier Quality Professional preferred.
Work Environment
  • Exposure to diverse manufacturing settings.
  • Approximately 20% travel, primarily local/domestic (within 3 hours).
