Job description

Overview

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit's Commercial Business Units ("Spirit Commercial"). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing's three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial's core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.


Responsibilities

Location: Wichita, KS (On-site)

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ability to establish schedules, baseline monitoring of the schedules, and holding supplier accountable to commitments.
  • Creates and implements documents in excel including VLOOKUP's, pivot charts, tables, graphs, and data analytics.
  • Ability to work in a rapid paced team environment is essential, along with being able to work independently.
  • Ability to report out internally on supplier status and know when escalation is required.
  • Ability to mitigate risk and find solutions to support our production needs.
  • Basic entry level testing will be conducted prior to selection

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of relevant manufacturing experience, Bachelor's Degree with 5-8+ years of relevant manufacturing experience, or a Master's Degree with 4-7+ years of relevant manufacturing experience
  • 3-5 years experience working with suppliers
  • 3-5 years Project or Program Management Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite, in particular excel and PPT. Also data analytic programs in order to create charts, graphs, formulas, and other data entry methodologies
  • Root Cause and Corrective Action training, methodology understanding, and practical application proficiency
  • High proficiency for problem identification and requirements for resolution
  • Strong Project Management and Time Management Skills
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Excellent cross functional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High energy, dynamic personality with an ability to effect change
  • Knowledge of MRP Systems, SAP preferred

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Aerospace manufacturing or aerospace industry knowledge
  • Supplier or Supply Chain Aerospace experience
  • Manufacturing & Supply Chain Management preferred
  • Self-Managed, Self-Motivated, Self-Reliant
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant course of study
  • Knowledge/experience with/in manufacturing and manufacturing process a plus
  • APICS, CPIM, CSCP or other industry certification
  • Understanding and Application of APQP
  • Efficient in Supplier Management and Recovery

Summary Pay Range: $77,550 - $118,900
