Job description

Fun Time Train Rides, LLC in Austin TX is looking for miniature train ride engineer/ conductors to drive the Zilker Eagle Miniature Train Ride .

We are located at the train depot in Zilker Park across from Barton Springs Pool at 2131 1/2 William Barton Dr.

Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and engaged. Come join our strong team.


Benefits

  • We offer full time and Part time work
  • Weekly pay through direct deposit only
  • $17 to $20 per hour
  • Working hours 9am - 7pm
  • Closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays for the summer



Responsibilities

  • Driving the train (qualified engineers).
  • Conductors: The conductor gathers the train tickets and rides in the back of the train communicating through walkie talkies and alerting the train engineer of anything, or anyone on the train track during each train run.
  • Following opening routines including daily checking of the train track prior to first train ride given.
  • Daily checklist and and inspection of the train
  • Cleaning of train.
  • Concessions: ringing up train tickets and concessions, keeping supplies fully stocked throughout the day.
  • Stocking and filling supplies daily and throughout the day.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to tolerate the heat and the cold through your work shift
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and get in and out of the train consistently
  • Engineers must be able to fit inside the train cab comfortably
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
  • Must be available to work the hours of 9:00 am. to 7:00 pm
  • Must have their own transportation
  • Open availability preferred
  • Must be available to work some weekends every month
