Job description

Box Office Representative (On-Call)

The Box Office Representative (On-Call) reports to the Manager Box Office and is responsible for the guest experience as it relates to box office operations, and adherence to standard operating procedures.

Position Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between the Box Office and patrons, ushers, and security by aiding with seating or ticket issues
  • Operate the Box Office window assisting guests with ticket purchases in person or answering guest inquiries over the phone.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned
  • Greet guests who come to the Box Office in a friendly and helpful manner
  • Provide information on available seating and ticket prices for current and upcoming venue events.
  • Sell admission tickets to guests; provide correctly printed paper or mobile tickets.
  • Complete all sales accurately, providing correct change and credit card receipts, if applicable.
  • Examine guests' valid ID and correctly distribute "Will Call" tickets
  • Provide general venue knowledge, such as locations of restrooms, concessions, etc.

Essential Functions

  • Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and hectic environments.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the hotel area
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends and flexible shift hours
  • Must have ability to sit and work from a computer for extended periods
  • Must have manual dexterity to allow for inputting of data into computer software and be capable of viewing computer monitors for extended periods of time
