Job description

Primary Care Physician

Compensation: $208K-$223K pr/yr

Job Type: Full Time, Monday - Friday. Day shift. Time split between 2 locations.

Our client a well established FQHC in Nassau County, NY is seeking a dedicated and skilled Primary Care Physician to add to their team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a range of conditions in a general practice setting.
  • Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests and imaging.
  • Prescribe medications, administer treatments, and provide immunizations.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle practices.
  • Refer patients to specialists as needed and coordinate follow-up care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation, including appropriate coding.
  • Participate in peer reviews, clinical education, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and billing practices.
  • Participate in on-call and emergency coverage as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
  • Holds a Medical Degree (MD) from an accredited school
  • Currently licensed and registered as a physician with New York State
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics or Family Medicine
  • Serving both school-age and adult populations
  • Ability to travel between 2 locations
  • A passion for working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Preferably enrolled in Medicaid
