Position Title: Maintenance Technician III

Schedule: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Salary: Starting at $27.00 - $33.00/hr.

Who you are:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • HVAC preferred
  • Minimum of four (4) to six (6) years' experience in commercial maintenance, journeyman level
  • Intermediate experience in the various trades required
  • Must possess a valid California driver's license
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Must be able to work alone most of the time without direct supervision

Job Summary:

This individual will be responsible for all aspects of coordinating and performing duties related to refurbishing and minor repairs.

Essential Job Duties

  • Coordinate and operate as a lead of multi-department refurbishment team.
  • Responsible for making units ready for existing and new residents including removing items to standardize the unit, checking all systems and appliances to ensure proper operation and customization. Performs the work necessary to complete these tasks and coordinates the work of others and ensures completion.
  • Performs maintenance duties, repairs walls, carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical repair and appliance installation.
  • Oversee subcontractors for Refurbishment projects working with Physical Plant Coordinator.
  • Performs Painting and refurbishing projects, as directed.
  • Performs skilled preventative maintenance as directed.
  • Maintains all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition.
  • Prioritizes all work in the order set by the Plant Coordinator.
  • Participates in emergency drills and acts as a member of the Emergency Response Team.
  • Participates in the 24-hours on-call program to include occasional weekend and night work.
  • Functions under intense time pressure.
  • Attends Marketing meetings and mandatory in-service meetings.
  • Works as a member of a team.
  • Accepts change in a positive manner and contributes to a positive, healthy and safe work environment.
