You may be contacted with short notice to fill in for shifts or help during busy periods. This type of job offers flexibility but can also mean unpredictable hours and income, making it ideal for those who need a flexible work arrangement. The specific expectations and availability requirements can vary depending on the employer and industry.

How does scheduling typically work for an on call part time position, and what flexibility can I expect?

On Call Part Time positions usually require you to be available during specified hours or on short notice, depending on the employer's needs. While you may not have a fixed weekly schedule, you’ll often be contacted as shifts become available, which can provide flexibility but also means your hours may vary. This role is ideal if you need adaptable scheduling, but it’s important to communicate your availability clearly with your supervisor.
