Job description

Pitt Electric, a premier service provider in the Greenville area is seeking a Residential Electrical Service Technician with at least 2 years of hands-on experience. This role is ideal for someone who is confident working directly with homeowners, diagnosing issues on-site, and delivering high quality repairs and installation with professionalism and care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical service calls, including troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades
  • Install and maintain wiring, outlets, lighting, panels, breakers, and other electrical components
  • Diagnose electrical issues quickly and accurately, providing clear explanations and repair options to homeowners
  • Ensure all work meets local, state, and national electrical codes
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in customer homes and company vehicles
  • Complete service documentation, estimates, and job notes accurately
  • Provide exceptional customer service and represent the company with professionalism
  • Participate in on‑call rotation as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of residential electrical experience
  • Working knowledge of NEC standards and local electrical codes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Excellent communication and customer‑service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship preferred
  • Electrical journeyman card preferred
  • Must be able to pass drug test and background check

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, and other residential environments
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods
