Job Description
The Foundations of Kaleida Health, which includes The Children's Hospital of Buffalo Foundation and The Kaleida Health Foundation, are a dynamic and growing non-profit organization dedicated to supporting programs, equipment and technology at WNY's premiere health care system and the region's one and only pediatric hospital, Golisano Children's Hospital (GCH) of Buffalo. The Foundations are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our fundraising team as a Major Gift Officer. The Major Gift Officer will be responsible for working collaboratively with the development team to build and execute the organization's major gifts annual fundraising goals and objectives. This position will identify, engage, solicit, cultivate and steward current and prospective donors' leadership and major giving donors and prospects in expanding their financial support for the Foundations. The Major Gift Officer will work closely with Foundation leadership to create individual engagement and solicitation strategies to increase the organization's philanthropic support from individuals. A primary focus of this role will be the discovery and qualification of new prospects, and moving leadership donors into major giving opportunities.

Education And Credentials
Bachelor's degree required
Experience
3 to 5 years of experience in sales or front-line fundraising; proven success in relationship building and portfolio management required. Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to manage projects and volunteers. Proficiency in using computers and database programs. Prefer experience with Raiser's Edge and fundraising software or sales CRM. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with appropriate discretion.
