Mobile Crisis On-Call Counselor (PRN as needed/on-call)
Location: Community-Based (within 1-hour physical response to assigned region)
Department: Crisis Services

UnityPoint Health is seeking compassionate and resilient individuals to join our Mobile Crisis Response Team. As a Mobile Crisis On-Call Counselor, you will provide on-site support and consultation to clients experiencing mental health crises in community or home settings. This role is vital in helping individuals achieve stability during critical moments.
Current openings & locations:
(2) Algona, IA - Weekends, flexible hours based on applicant's availability
Shifts: The shifts range from 7a-3p, 3p-11p and 11p-7a daily. On call pay is $3.25 to be available.

Responsibilities
Provide crisis response and intervention to clients on crisis calls in community or home settings where the crisis is occurring.
Complete related data entry and documentation in accordance with agency policy.
During an on-call shift, be available by telephone and be prepared to respond to calls within a 1-hour physical response region while coordinating with the on-call partner.
Qualifications
Education:
Must meet one of the following:
  • Mental health professional as defined in Iowa Code section 228.1
  • Bachelor's degree; or
  • Associate's degree; or
  • High school diploma
Experience (based on education level noted above):
  • Mental health professional: 1 year of mental health experience
  • Bachelor's in human services: 1 year
  • Bachelor's in non-human services: 2 years
  • Associate's degree: 2 years
  • High school diploma: 2 years
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Valid driver's license and compliance with Eyerly Ball's auto insurance policy
  • Must pass criminal records and dependent adult/child abuse checks
