Job description

Position Basics
Seeking an interpreter/translator (both Japanese to English and English to Japanese)
  • Work location: Eaton, OH
  • Salary : $50,000~65,000/year
  • FLSA : Non-exempt
  • Work hours: Mon through Fri, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with 30min lunch break
  • Overtime: May be required
  • Benefit: Medical, dental, vision, life, and 401K
  • Relocation Assistance: No
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Translation:
  • Translate presentations, business correspondence, training materials, etc.
Interpretation:
  • Provide interpretation for both large and small scale meetings including
    • Business meetings: all-company reports, customer and supplier relations, sales, finance, etc.),
    • Technical meetings: design reviews, new model planning, specification discussions, etc.
    • Production meetings: quality defect investigations, audits, daily reports, training, etc.
Employee support
  • Provides support to Japanese associates and their families, including
    • interpretation for medical appointments as needed
    • Administrative assistance related to relocation and daily life in the U.S.
    • General cultural and communication support
Additional Responsibilities
  • Occasional evening meetings (approximately 0 to 3 per month)
  • Occasional overnight travel to suppliers and customers for interpretation support
Qualifications
  • Translation/Interpretation experience at Automotive/manufacturing related experience is preferred.
