Job description

Job Title:
IAM Engineer
Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Okta IAM Engineer to join our Identity and Access Management team! At McAfee, we are modernizing our identity infrastructure by migrating to industry leading platforms and implementing IAM standards and best practices. As an IAM Engineer you will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of our Okta platform and migration from our legacy identity stack. This role will play a major part in driving the growth of McAfee's IAM program and delivering upon the goals of the IAM team.
Location Note: This is a position located in the US, either San Jose, CA or Frisco, TX. You may be required to be onsite on an as-needed basis. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance from one of these locations and we are not offering relocation assistance at this time.
About the Role:
  • Implementation and administration of our Okta platform.
  • Deployment of Okta Identity Governance for access certifications and remediations.
  • Implementation of Okta SSO and Provisioning (SCIM, JIT, API) for SaaS applications.
  • Design and implementation of Access Requests & Approval process with Okta.
  • Administration of (Non)Employee Lifecycle Management with Okta Workflows.
  • Defining birthright access roles and implementation with Okta group rules.
  • Role Based Access Control discovery and implementation.

About You:
  • 5+ years of experience working with Okta, Consultant certification preferred.
  • Experience implementing MFA with Okta including Verify Push and Biometrics.
  • Strong understating of modern authentication and authorization protocols (OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SAML 2.0, LDAP, RADIUS).
  • Experience building and maintaining Okta Workflows.
  • Experience leveraging Workday as an authoritative source in Okta.
  • Experience leveraging and scripting against the Okta API.
  • Experience with delegated authentication to Active Directory / Entra ID.
  • Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams on complex problems.
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
