Job Description

The Engineer, Info Sec is responsible for the successful day-to-day security operations within Retail Services for security related applications, databases, and other system environments as part of the Information Security team.  This person is expected to assist with processes and technology in various areas relevant to overall business in general and Information Security in particular.  The position works closely with teams in other Information Security disciplines, infrastructure, and operations areas to help provide superior protection to Retail Services information assets.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Okta engineering experience is required. Hands on experience with OIE, Application SSO integrations, workflows, B2E, B2B, and B2C tenants
  • Identify areas of improvement where processes do not currently exist and drive the development and delivery of new processes to address gaps. Willingness to escalate identified issues as necessary and identify when to partner with peers or leadership to resolve issues, risks or obstacles. Builds consensus for delivering results while finding common ground for collaboration and partnership.
  • Understand the various tools and technologies commonly associated with Information Security. Completes updates and maintenance of relevant documentation including run books, project updates, process documentation, architecture and technical requirements and presentations.
  • Foundational understanding of the InfoSec team’s strategy and vision. Actively works as a change agent to support these initiatives both within the InfoSec team and the broader organization. Identifies and understands drivers for change and partner with leadership to deliver changes. Partners with peers within department and includes them in key projects, risks or issues.
  • Viewed as an enabling partner that provides alternative options or supporting information when saying no to business or IT requests. Seen by leadership and peers as creditable, trustworthy and respectful.
  • Continuously gains knowledge of new technical developments and ensures they are shared appropriately and applied within the department.
  • Ability to proactively identify potential issues and deliver well-reasoned solutions.
  • Conduct data analysis exercises using Excel Pivot Tables, database queries, and other data driven analysis tools. Produces presentations with supervision at various levels of abstraction dependent on intended audience using Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Visio, or equivalent tools.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education required: Bachelor's Degree
  • Area of Study: in Computer Science, Networking, Information Technology Cyber Security
  • Certifications/Licenses Required: Relevant professional certifications (examples: Security+, Network+, CISSP, SSCP, CCSP, etc.) Okta Professional, Consultant, or Administrator, preferred.
