Job description

The ForgeRock Architect is responsible for supporting delivery and support of high-quality Identity and Access Management services while adhering to our standards and best practices. The ideal candidate would have experience primarily in ForgeRock, OpenIDM, or OpenAM to serve as a member of multiple client engagement teams that assist clients in employing Security information systems, resources, and controls to maximize efficiencies and minimize risk. The ability to accept challenges, adapt to business needs, and stay focused on delivering results are essential to the success of this role. 

At present the services fall under one of the following eight (8) categories which are delivered via Identity as a Services Solutions (IDaaS):

  • Access Governance
  • Identity Administration
  • Privileged Identity
  • Access Management & Federation
  • Core Directory Services
  • Security & Risk Intelligence
  • Data Security & Loss Prevention
  • Cloud Security

Key Accountabilities:

  • Mentoring and assisting in the development of external PS delivery resources.
  • Assist the operations team when issues require deployment assistance.
  • Assist the Sales and Pre-Sales teams with delivery/implementation questions.
  • Developing resources for support of delivery engagements (e.g., report templates, delivery guides)
  • Connection to authorized sources/connection through installation/configuration of connectors to destination targets with clear definition and configuration of User Attributes, and experience on User, Process, and Resource definition forms.
  • Hands-on experience with customization of ForgeRock components is a must, including connector development, writing scripts, and building workflows.
  • Directory services knowledge
  • Should be able to work independently as a Senior Developer/Consultant, work may require the person to lead a small team for integrating with the surrounding solution being built.
  • Work will require working and interacting with offshore team members.
  • Implemented comprehensive SSO solutions based on OpenAM to support B2B and B2C portals through identity and access management technologies.
  • Integrated OpenAM with various backend technologies including OpenDJ, Microsoft Active Directory, and RDBMS
  • Knowledge of RDBMS clustering technologies and configurations with various commercial software (MySQL, Oracle DB, MS SQL, etc.…)
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate security controls are established and working as expected including data encryption and authentication standards are appropriate and effective.
  • Migrated code and configurations through environments from development to production environments
  • Ensuring technical delivery aligns with client specifications. Work with counterparts on the client team to understand and adhere to applicable technical standards.
  • Work closely with project management to identify essential IAM technical requirements, prioritize requirements, catalog requirements, and assign them to project use cases and sprints.
  • Identify, qualify, and assess new and existing client relationships and opportunities. 
  • Participate in Proof of Concept (POC) demonstrations for clients in their vendor evaluation and overall selection process.
  • Considine-depth technical IAM research, troubleshooting, and performance analysis to solve issues and optimize outcomes for client deployments.
  • Strong Unix / Linux skills with scripting and automation experience
