Job Description Project Manager - Okta IAM & IGA Implementation Contract Role Hybrid/Dallas, TX Summary: Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with deep expertise in Okta Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) implementations. This role will lead enterprise identity transformation initiatives, including the rollout, integration, and operationalization of Okta solutions across cloud, SaaS, on-premises, and retail environments. The ideal candidate has a proven track record managing large-scale Okta deployments, driving cross-functional projects, and partnering with business and technical stakeholders to deliver secure identity solutions.

Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end project management for Okta IAM and IGA implementations and enhancements. Manage enterprise Okta rollout initiatives including SSO, MFA, Lifecycle Management, and Identity Governance. Coordinate cross-functional teams including Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, HR, Application Owners, and third-party vendors.

Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and status reporting. Drive Okta onboarding and integration efforts for SaaS applications, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems. Ensure successful migration and rollout of Okta authentication and identity governance capabilities.

Manage user acceptance testing (UAT), change management, communication, and training activities. Track and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies related to identity and access management initiatives. Support governance, compliance, and audit requirements related to identity security.

Provide executive-level reporting and stakeholder communications throughout project lifecycles. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business, or related field. 5+ years of project management experience leading enterprise IAM or cybersecurity projects.

3+ years of direct experience managing Okta implementation and rollout projects. Demonstrated experience implementing Okta solutions including SSO, MFA, Universal Directory, Lifecycle Management, and Identity Governance. Proven experience leading Okta rollout initiatives across large enterprise environments.

Experience managing integrations between Okta and enterprise applications including SaaS, cloud, VPN, and on-premises platforms. Strong understanding of IAM, IGA, SSO, MFA, RBAC, JML processes, and Zero Trust concepts. Experience working with identity governance, access reviews, provisioning, and deprovisioning workflows.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies including Agile and Waterfall. Excellent communication, organizational, stakeholder management, and leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Okta Identity Governance (OIG), Okta Workflows, and advanced automation capabilities.

Experience integrating Okta with Active Directory, Azure AD, Workday, ServiceNow, and cloud platforms. Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOX, PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2, and NIST. Strong leadership and project execution skills.

Ability to manage complex enterprise identity transformation initiatives. Excellent problem-solving and risk management capabilities. Strong customer-service mindset and ability to work across business and technical teams.

Self-driven with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes. Certifications: Project Management certification such as PMP, Agile, or Scrum certifications preferred. Okta certifications such as Okta Certified Professional, Administrator, or Consultant preferred.
