Job description

The Office of International Services at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Receptionist to answer phones, greet guests, process mail, and complete basic data entry. Other duties include:
  • Scheduling meetings, managing calendars in coordination with others, providing logistical support during meetings and events.
  • Providing general information and appropriately answering customer inquiries from walk-ins, incoming calls, and emails.
  • Preparing and editing various technical documents, including financial reports, presentation materials, and routine correspondence.
  • Making minor purchases, collecting payments, and verifying billing information.
  • Filing paperwork, distributing mail, maintaining mailing lists, assisting with travel arrangements.

Normal work hours are 8:30am - 5:00 pm in person at the OIS offices in William Pitt Union. Ideal candidate is customer-service orientated and attentive to detail. A High School Degree or GED is required. Previous customer service experience is preferred.
