Job description

Oil Change Guest Service Representative (GSR) Technician

Location: Old Greenwich, CT

We are a reputable Service Station actively seeking professional, enthusiastic, and eager-to-grow Oil Change Guest Service Representative (GSR) Technicians to join our team.

This is a hands-on customer service and automotive position focused on delivering a fast, friendly, and high-quality experience while assisting with oil changes and basic vehicle maintenance.

If you enjoy working with customers, have an interest in automotive maintenance, and want an opportunity to develop your skills and grow within the company, we'd love to meet you.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist customers in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner

  • Educate customers on available services, pricing, and recommended vehicle maintenance

  • Assist with oil changes and basic maintenance services, including:

    • Fluid checks

    • Filter replacements

    • Battery replacements

    • Other basic maintenance services

  • Work alongside experienced technicians to develop automotive and technical skills

  • Help maintain an efficient workflow to minimize customer wait times

  • Recommend and sell appropriate maintenance services and products based on vehicle needs

  • Maintain accurate service and customer records

  • Complete required daily checklists and documentation

  • Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions when required

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized service area

  • Follow all company safety standards, procedures, and environmental requirements

  • Support the team in delivering a consistently high level of customer service and quality


Qualifications:
  • Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Interest in automotive maintenance and willingness to learn

  • Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and components is preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Comfortable recommending and explaining services to customers

  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform hands-on automotive work

  • Previous automotive, oil change, sales, or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
