Position Overview

Cherry Glass & Aluminum is seeking an Inside Sales Representative / Residential Estimator Assistant to serve as one of the primary points of contact for our customers, vendors, and team members. This position plays a vital role in supporting residential sales, customer service, estimating, and front-office operations.


This person will act as a gatekeeper for the leadership team while also routing calls, inquiries, and information efficiently to project managers, estimators, installers, and other team members. They will be responsible for ensuring calls and in-person visits are routed appropriately while maintaining a calm, professional, and welcoming environment.


In addition to answering phones and assisting customers, this position will support inside sales efforts by helping customers identify products and services, qualifying opportunities, scheduling appointments, preparing information for quotes, and assisting our residential estimator throughout the sales and project process.


The ideal candidate is a people person who enjoys helping customers, solving problems, staying organized, and working with a team in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and route incoming calls to appropriate team members, including project managers, estimators, installers, and leadership.
  • Greet walk-in customers and visitors, providing assistance or direction as needed.
  • Serve as a gatekeeper for the leadership team by professionally screening and directing calls, visitors, and inquiries.
  • Take accurate, detailed messages and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Assist customers with general product and service inquiries and help connect them with the appropriate team members.
  • Support inside sales efforts by qualifying leads, scheduling appointments, and helping move opportunities through the sales process.
  • Assist with customer follow-up, appointment confirmations, and ongoing communication throughout the sales cycle.
  • Look up orders, job details, measurements, and project status updates within company software to assist customers and team members.
  • Assist the residential estimator with scheduling appointments, gathering project information, organizing customer communications, and preparing project files.
  • Help prepare and deliver residential quotes, proposals, and supporting documentation as training and experience allow.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and documentation within company systems.
  • Support daily office operations including filing, data entry, scheduling, and maintaining an organized front-office environment.
  • Assist with communication flow between departments to ensure projects and customer needs are well coordinated.
  • Help maintain a welcoming, professional, and efficient office atmosphere that reflects Cherry Glass & Aluminum's values.
