Job description

We are seeking a friendly and professional Medical Office Scheduler and Receptionist to join Ascend Mental Health Center's team in our Idaho Falls office. An ideal candidate is warm and friendly and enjoys a busy work environment in a front desk situation.
Medical front office experience is required.
We are looking for a full-time individual who resides in Idaho Falls (or nearby).
This in-office position involves ensuring medical provider schedules are full by setting and confirming appointments (via phone, texts, and email), calling patients on waiting lists when cancellations occur, answering phones, and entering patient information in the electronic medical record. This team member would assist with reception and other roles within the office to ensure continuity of operations.
We have a team of over 30 individuals that work well together.
Punctuality for this position is essential.
The working hours for this position are 8:30 AM-5:30 PM Monday through Friday with a one hour lunch break.
Location: Idaho Falls (Located in the Teton Medical Specialty Center on Woodruff Avenue)
Employment Type: Full Time
Responsibilities include:
  • Creating a warm and friendly environment for patients and providers
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments
  • Answering phones
  • Professionally handling referrals from other offices
  • Collecting patient payments
  • Assisting patients with intake forms
  • Taking patient vital information
  • Scanning and filing medical records (our office is almost exclusively digital)
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly office
