SERVICE OPERATIONS MANAGER Why A-Core? A-Core Concrete Specialists is actively seeking reliable and hardworking individuals with a passion to work for one of the largest and fastest growing companies in the industry. The Service Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all operational aspects in our Bozeman, Montana branch. This individual needs to ensure projects are assigned, dispatched, completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires the individual to have a blend of technical knowledge, leadership skills, strategic planning, excellent communication skills and is self-motivated and punctual to manage both field and office operations efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate needs to be a critical thinker who can analyze the situations and make sound decisions. The candidate should be well-versed in construction processes and procedures and able to coordinate a team of different specialties to achieve the best results in the allotted timeframes. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills. The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and within planned budgets. Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and coordinate all concrete cutting projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to specifications, timelines, and safety standards.
  • Determine and supervise field crews, schedule personnel, and manage equipment and materials from start to finish ensuring optimal workforce deployment across job sites while paying attention to budgetary limitations.
  • Enforce strict safety protocols, conduct site safety audits, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies; address unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns, managing expectations, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Track project costs, review invoices, and adjust budgets to maintain profitability.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance schedules, track tool and material inventory, and coordinate timely delivery of supplies to job sites.
  • Identify inefficiencies in service delivery, implement process improvements, and use data analytics to measure performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide coaching and training to field supervisors and crews, develop performance plans, and support employee retention and career growth.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Pass DOT Physical
  • CDL - highly recommended
  • Pass background check (for some projects)
  • Must pass Drug Screen (Required)
  • Valid Driver's License (Required)
  • Must have a good driving record (MVR)
  • Proven experience in construction or industrial services, preferably in concrete cutting, demolition, or related fields. Strong understanding of construction procedures, project management, safety regulations, and construction logistics.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software, fleet/equipment tracking systems, and financial management tools.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with frequent site visits.
  • Experience in managing and leading others.
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
  • Needs to have mechanical skills to work on equipment (smaller tools).
  • Must have great communication, scheduling, delegating, problem solving and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, self-motivated and punctual.
