The Operations Associate supports underwriting operations through policy lifecycle activities, system and data support, workflow coordination, and process improvement initiatives that drive consistency, efficiency, and scalability across the business. In this role, you will:

  • Build foundational knowledge of insurance products, policy structures, and underwriting practices.
  • Develop fluency in data tools, systems, and emerging technologies supporting underwriting operations.
  • Gain exposure to risk evaluation, account lifecycle management, and broker interactions.
  • Participate in cross-functional learning opportunities across underwriting, claims, finance, and operations.
  • Contribute ideas to continuous improvement initiatives, learning how operational excellence drives business performance.

Underwriting Operations:

  • Perform underwriting operations activities that support policy lifecycle processing, service execution, and operational consistency across the business.
  • Enter, update, validate, and maintain data within underwriting and related systems.
  • Monitor and complete follow-up activities related to premium, endorsements, cancellations, and other account servicing tasks.
  • Support shared workflows, resolving routine issues and ensuring timely completion of work.
  • Participate in process improvement, workflow standardization, and change initiatives.
  • Use systems, reporting, and operational tools to monitor productivity and support outcomes.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, operations, IT, finance, claims, and business partners.
  • Leverage technology, data, and workflow tools to support productivity and contribute to a modern, scalable underwriting operation, including supporting automation and process optimization initiatives.

Office Services:

  • Provide day-to-day coordination of office support activities to maintain a professional work environment.
  • Support business continuity, onboarding logistics, and workplace readiness activities.
  • Coordinate mail, supplies, workspace setup, and vendor support.
  • Partner with IT, facilities, and shared services teams to resolve workplace needs.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field).
  • Early career candidates and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Prior insurance experience preferred but not required; experience in operations or service environments is valued.
  • Ability to learn systems, tools, and processes quickly and adapt effectively as workflows and business needs evolve.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly, professionally, and effectively to a variety of audiences.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify inconsistencies, maintain accuracy, and follow established procedures.
