About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established transportation company in the Syracuse area, is seeking an experienced Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day administrative and accounting support functions of its local operation. This is a hands-on position that will play an important role in keeping the office organized, efficient, and running smoothly.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily administrative operations for the local office supporting approximately 30-35 employees
  • Manage general office administration, filing, recordkeeping, and documentation
  • Process and maintain accounts payable, including a high volume of weekly invoices and transactions
  • Assist with accounts receivable activities and customer account follow-up
  • Provide administrative and accounting support to the Credit Manager
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial and operational records
  • Assist with reconciling invoices and resolving discrepancies as needed
  • Coordinate office communications and respond to internal and external inquiries
  • Support management and employees with various administrative needs
  • Help ensure office processes and procedures are followed consistently
  • Handle other administrative and accounting-related responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in office administration, office management, accounting support, or a related role
  • Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
