Position Overview

Pacific Office Automation is looking for an Entry-Level Field Network Technician to join our growing service team supporting the Bend, OR area.

This is a field-based role where you'll travel to customer locations to install, troubleshoot, and support network-connected office equipment and related technologies. If you enjoy solving technical problems, working directly with customers, and learning new technologies, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot network connectivity and device communication issues

  • Configure and support network-connected office equipment

  • Diagnose hardware, software, and networking problems

  • Communicate with customers to identify issues and provide solutions

  • Work with both technical and non-technical users

  • Document service activities and communicate updates through phone, email, and written reports

  • Travel locally to customer locations throughout the service area

What We're Looking For

  • Understanding of network connectivity, network security, and Wi-Fi environments

  • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft applications

  • Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, SMTP, FTP, SMB, and network ports

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities

  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (must be 21 years or older)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous field service or networking experience (preferred, not required)

  • Experience supporting Windows desktop operating systems

  • Experience working with IT professionals or managed network environments
