Job Overview

The Export Operations Specialist is responsible for managing day to day operations, communications, and processes related to air and ocean export shipments.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Open operation filesfor air and ocean export shipments
  • Monitor and manage all assigned shipments until completion
  • Daily communications with customers, overseas offices/agents, local partners, and service providers
  • Ensure accurate customer billing and agent invoicing
  • Handle quotation requests from operational partners and agents and respond within a timely manner
  • Work with our overseas offices/agents to resolve any issues
  • Review standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with government regulations
  • Ensure the highest level of data quality and integrity by processing shipments accurately
  • Report anomalies in operations and new customer requirements to management for decisions on additional service requirements
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3years of processing air and ocean export shipments
  • Experience with customs entry writing is a plus
  • Willingness to work rotating Saturdays, as needed
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with CargoWise required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 tools
