Job description

Occupational Therapist

Functioning within the Health System’s mission, values, objectives, policies and procedures, the Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, implements, administers occupational therapy modalities and procedures per State of Ohio Laws and Rules Regulating the Practice of Occupational Therapy Chapter 4755 of the Ohio Revised Code; Chapters 4755-1 to 4755-9 of the Ohio Administrative Code. The Occupational Therapist will provide leadership for the implementation of specialty programs and demonstrate professional conduct that is consistent with the Code of Ethics for the Occupational Therapist of the American Occupational Therapy Association. The Occupational Therapist will be required to assist in other areas as assigned that may include Acute Care, Rehabilitation Unit, Transitional Care Unit, Pediatrics, LMHS Outpatient, and the Wellness Center.

Education: A degree from an accredited school of the American Occupational Therapy Association is required. Licensure/Certification: must be licensed or eligible for licensure with the Occupational Therapy Board of Ohio in accordance with The State of Ohio Laws and Rules Regulating the Practice of Occupational Therapy Chapter 4755 of the Ohio Revised Code; Chapters 4755-1 to 4755-9 of the Ohio Administrative Code. American Occupational Therapy Association membership is encouraged for this position.

Experience: No previous experience required however, 1-2 years clinical experience recommended.

Skills: Strong communication and listening skills, demonstrated initiative, and the ability to multi-task are required. Must have documented overall general knowledge of PT/OT/ST as a profession. Demonstrated leadership and timeliness are also required.
