Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Glendale, WI

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic team at Bayshore Nursing & Rehab in Glendale, Wisconsin. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will play a vital role in helping our patients achieve their highest level of independence and function. Responsibilities

  • Assist occupational therapists in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients with various physical, cognitive, and mental health needs

  • Conduct occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an occupational therapist, including but not limited to:

    • Patient assessments and evaluations

    • Developing and implementing treatment plans

    • Providing education and training to patients and their families

    • Monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans as needed

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and progress

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication

  • Participate in staff meetings and engage in quality improvement initiatives

  • Adhere to all regulations and standards related to occupational therapy practice and patient care

Requirements

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in occupational therapy or related field preferred

  • Per Diem schedule with flexible hours and weekend work required

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to providing excellent patient care and customer service
