What are some common challenges faced by Rebound Therapy practitioners, and how can they be addressed?

Rebound Therapy practitioners often encounter challenges such as adapting exercises to suit a wide range of physical and cognitive abilities, ensuring safety on the trampoline, and effectively communicating with clients who may have complex needs. To address these challenges, practitioners typically engage in ongoing training, collaborate closely with physiotherapists and support staff, and use individualized session plans. Maintaining clear communication with families and multidisciplinary teams also helps ensure that each client’s therapeutic goals are met safely and effectively.

What is the difference between Rebound Therapy vs Physiotherapist?

Rebound Therapy and Physiotherapists both work to improve physical well-being, but Rebound Therapy focuses on using trampolines to aid individuals with disabilities, requiring specialized training. Physiotherapists have a broader healthcare role, treating various injuries and conditions with a formal degree and licensing. While their work environments may overlap in clinics, their primary functions and credentials differ significantly.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Rebound Therapy Practitioner, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Rebound Therapy Practitioner, you need a background in physical education, physiotherapy, or special education, along with completion of accredited Rebound Therapy training. Excellent communication, patience, and adaptability help you engage clients with diverse needs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. These competencies ensure safe, effective, and personalized therapy sessions that promote physical and emotional development for clients.

Job description

About Rebound
Rebound's mission is to make recovery from trauma the norm, not the exception.
We are a specialized telehealth provider that helps people heal from the lasting impact of trauma and PTSD. PTSD affects millions of people, yet many struggle to find therapists trained in evidence-based trauma treatments. Through Rebound, members can access live, face-to-face video therapy sessions with our national network of licensed Therapists that specialize in Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), a "gold standard" in PTSD treatment. Our work is grounded in rigorous psychological science and a survivor-centered approach. We help members get out of survival mode after trauma, break intergenerational cycles, and reclaim their lives.
Rebound was founded by a team of trauma survivors and clinicians, and that perspective shapes how we build: serious about outcomes, rigorous about science, and uncompromising about integrity. We're looking for people who are deeply motivated by the mission to offer clinically proven treatment and remove barriers to care.
About The Role
At Rebound, we believe therapists should be able to focus on what matters most: providing meaningful care to the people who need it.
Rebound is looking for Independently Licensed Therapists (LCSW, LMHC-D, LMFT-D) in New York to join our network. We will provide the training necessary to become a specialized therapist and ensure you are fully equipped to deliver effective, evidence-based treatment.
As a Rebound Therapist, you will see our team is committed to achieving clinical excellence, an exquisite Therapist experience and providing proven & visible clinical outcomes. We have dedicated teams to handle marketing, billing, credentialing, and scheduling. Therapists will use valuable previous clinical experience, good judgment, and our clinical guidelines to discern when to refer members to external resources. Providers will collaborate with our network of psychiatrists and therapists to help develop and reinforce treatment decisions.
You'll enjoy growth and support through: ongoing consultation with other team members; specialized clinical training with experienced trauma and PTSD providers; information on the latest research advancements in the field; technical support and clinical protocols; 1:1 mentorship to discuss complex cases; and an open, receptive environment to provide feedback.
What You'll Do
  • Help people who have experienced trauma get better and stay better by providing thorough diagnostic assessment and evidence-based psychotherapy through the Rebound video platform
  • Manage your caseload and schedule
  • Maintain complete and timely clinical documentation using the Rebound EHR system

    • If you do not have this direct practical experience, proof of completion (with certificate) of the following training will be accepted in its place: Tolin & Diamond Training Video.
    • Please note: submission of proof of completion does not guarantee hire, Rebound will not reimburse the cost of this course.
