Job description

We are hiring reliable and energetic event staff for the OC MENA (Middle Eastern North African) Festival at OC Fair & Event Center. Multiple shifts available across a 5-day large-scale public festival with high guest traffic.

Pay Rates

  • Staff: $20/hour
  • Shift Leads: $24/hour

Shift Lead Requirement

  • 1 Shift Lead required per shift (Shift A & Shift B) for June 19–21
  • Must be available for all three days (June 19, 20, 21) to be considered for Shift Lead role

Roles Available

  • Ticket scanning & wrist-banding
  • Entrance & carnival ticket sales
  • Information booth staff
  • Ushers & runners
  • FIFA watch party support
  • Concession stand support

Event Dates & Shift Overview

Wednesday, June 17

  • 2 staff (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Thursday, June 18

  • Shift A: 5 staff (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
  • Shift B: 5 staff (2:30 PM – 10:30 PM)

Friday, June 19 – Sunday, June 21

  • Shift A: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Shift B: 4:30 PM – 12:30 AM

Daily staffing:

  • Friday: 24 staff per shift
  • Saturday: 26 staff per shift
  • Sunday: 26 staff per shift

Arabic-Speaking Info Booth Roles (IMPORTANT)

We are specifically hiring 2 Arabic-speaking staff per day to support information booth operations.
Candidates must be comfortable greeting guests, answering basic event questions, and assisting Arabic-speaking attendees.

Dress Code

  • Plain White T-shirt (Another shirt will be provided, limited sizes M–XL only)
  • Khaki shorts/pants
  • Comfortable closed-toe shoes
  • Must cover any visible tattoos!

Requirements

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in fast-paced outdoor event environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Must be able to stand for long periods
  • Arabic fluency required only for designated info booth roles
