We protect nearly 33,000 residential and commercial customers.

Role Overview
The Alarm Technician provides alarm system installation which requires low voltage wiring, performing testing and troubleshooting on the systems, and compliance with local codes.

Status: Full-Time, Non-exempt

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install and wire alarm system per local building and fire code
  • Read, understand, and follow blueprints
  • Conduct a proper test and inspection
  • Troubleshoot and service a fire alarm system
  • Communicate expectations with customers
  • Examines systems to locate problems such as loose connections or broken insulation.
  • Demonstrates systems and explains the causes and consequences of false alarms.
  • Cleans up debris from the alarm service work area.
  • Provides excellent customer service that aligns with the company's mission statement.

Education and Experience:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of fire alarm experience and low voltage experience preferred but not required
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Safe driving record
  • Must pass a background check and drug test
  • Ability to work 80% of the time in the field

Work Requirements:

  • Ability to work with hand tools, meters, and other necessary industry-related equipment
  • Ability to climb ladders and operate lifts
  • Ability to lift weights up to 75 pounds
