Summary
The Director, Institutional Equity Sales serves as a revenue-producing professional responsible for executing equity trades, developing institutional client relationships, and supporting the growth of the firm's sales and trading business. This role combines client coverage, trade execution, market intelligence, and business development activities to help achieve revenue objectives while maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Execute equity orders accurately and efficiently on behalf of institutional clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with portfolio managers, traders, analysts, and other institutional investment professionals.
  • Communicate market intelligence, trading opportunities, and relevant information to clients in a timely manner.
  • Support the development and execution of sales and trading strategies designed to grow client relationships and revenue.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned accounts and prospect coverage lists.
  • Collaborate with senior sales traders and leadership to expand market presence and client engagement.
  • Review execution activity to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of equity markets, trading trends, and client investment strategies.
  • Assist in mentoring junior sales and trading professionals through knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigne

Qualifications & Requirements
Required Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success developing institutional client relationships and generating revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of equity markets, trading practices, and market structure.

Preferred Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure
  • Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or Business.
  • CFA designation or progress toward designation.
  • Experience covering institutional asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, or mutual funds.
