Job description

Description
Seeking an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join our multidisciplinary team of cardiologists and cardiac surgeons in the NYU Langone Advanced Heart Failure Program. The individual will be primarily based in Long Island where we have seen tremendous growth in all areas of heart failure, including cardiac sarcoid and amyloid. Post LVAD and transplant patients are cared for in NYU-LI and the candidate will be able to take care of fresh post heart transplant while rotating at the NYU Manhattan campus to have a greater depth of transplant exposure at one of the largest and most innovative heart transplant programs in the country. NYU Long Island has a robust cardiogenic shock program with all mechanical support devices available on site. The candidate will also have opportunity for procedures related to advance heart failure including right heart catheterizations, endomyocardial biopsy, and pulmonary artery sensor placement if interested. Cardiovascular genetics and amyloid experience a plus not mandatory.
Qualifications
We are seeking an early to mid-career Board Certified/Board Eligible Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist who has proximate experience (or training) with the management of acute mechanical support devices, LVADs and patients pre and post heart transplant. Comfort in managing patients in the critical care space is necessary. This is a full-time, academic position with vast clinical, research, teaching opportunities at one of the top 10 academic medical centers in the United States.
Compensation
NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is 300k to 450k. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.
