Job description

The NYU Langone Health Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Interventional Pulmonologist to join our expanding Section at our NYU Brooklyn location.

NYU Langone Health is a rapidly growing academic medical center with multiple campuses across the New York City metropolitan area. The Division is highly active, with services at Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Long Island campuses, including Bellevue Hospital, New York’s premier safety-net city hospital. Our Section is focused on the full spectrum of Interventional Pulmonology, encompassing both benign and malignant airway and parenchymal disorders, pleural disease, and critical care interventions.

We continue to expand our scope with the addition of cutting-edge, minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic techniques. The division also boasts a robust NIH/NCI-funded research program with opportunities for clinical and translational investigations in the evolving fields of Interventional Pulmonology and Thoracic Oncology.

Our team of interventional pulmonologists has access to dedicated procedure block time in specifically for interventional pulmonary procedures. We are looking for a new partner to join this collaborative and dynamic team.

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient consultative services in Interventional Pulmonology and Oncopulmonology.
  • Provide inpatient daytime coverage for Interventional Pulmonology services at NYULH Brooklyn.
  • Serve as the primary attending in the OR for Interventional Pulmonary procedures.
  • Establish robust collaborations with dedicated Thoracic Surgery at NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn and at the Perlmutter Cancer Center – Sunset Park.
  • Overnight and weekend call is covered by the General Pulmonology and Critical Care services at NYULH- Brooklyn, as well as by colleagues in the Interventional Pulmonology Section. 

Teaching Responsibilities:

  • Train advanced Interventional Pulmonary fellows and general pulmonary and critical care medicine fellows in the inpatient setting, the OR, and at outpatient clinical sites

Salary and Academic Rank:

  • Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with training and experience.
