Job description

SUMMARY

The Nurse Practitioner will perform patient assessments, medical examinations, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and other clinical responsibilities to support the delivery of care to patients and their families within an Interventional Radiology setting.

STATUS: Full Time

LOCATION: Unity Hospital

DEPARTMENT: Interventional Radiology

SCHEDULE: Day shift; Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Interventional Radiology procedures, including lumbar punctures, paracenteses, thoracenteses, and other image-guided procedures.

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions; develop and implement treatment plans.

  • Order and interpret diagnostic testing, imaging studies, and laboratory results.

  • Provide pre- and post-procedure evaluations, patient education, and follow-up care.

  • Prescribe medications, perform minor procedures, and coordinate care with physicians and specialists.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, coding, and billing.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support patient safety and operational excellence.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
