A motivated and dependable professional who leads by example and works well with staff. Provides technical support to the Project Manager and Resident Engineer and is responsible for the technical and administrative aspects of organizing, coordinating, and completing projects and assignments. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with others.

Technical Responsibilities
  • Experience with NYSDOT construction contract administration, project documentation, material certifications, quantity/payment documentation, change orders, and project closeout is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of highway and bridge construction methods, materials, plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
  • ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade 1 certification
  • OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety certification required
  • Water Main Inspection Certificate
  • Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle to travel to and from project sites for site inspections.
Educational Requirements and Experience/Professional Licenses/Registrations
  • NICET Level III or IV certification in Highway
  • Bachelor's degree (B. S., or B.A.) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant highway and/or bridge construction inspection experience preferred.
  • Experience on projects on NYSDOT, NYCDOT, NYCDDC, PANYNJ, or MTA or similar public transportation projects is preferred.
  • Experience with NYSDOT construction contract administration, project documentation, material certifications, quantity/payment documentation, change orders, and project closeout is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of highway and bridge construction methods, materials, plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
