Job description

Duties Description The New York State Senate is seeking a full-time Assistant Sergeant-at-Arms. Duties include but are not limited to: Keeping order during the Senate Session Maintaining security in the State Capitol, and all Senate offices Protecting the members of the Senate Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have law enforcement or military experience, and a high school degree or equivalent. Additionally, experience monitoring large crowds and current active shooter training are both a plus.

Additional Comments This is a full-time position with a salary range of $65,000 to $71,000, commensurate with education and experience. The NYS Senate offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a wellness program. Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume to jobs@nysenate.gov
