Job description

We are seeking an Embedded Software Test Lead to join a Global Automotive Company in Raymond, OH. Youโ€™ll support advanced automotive research and prototype projects focused on AI-driven vehicle technologies, embedded systems, and edge-device platforms. This role will lead test strategy and validation efforts across multiple concurrent projects, combining hands-on testing, embedded validation, software testing, and proof-of-concept support in a fast-paced engineering environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead test strategy and validation activities across multiple automotive software projects
  • Perform software, embedded, integration, regression, and edge-device testing
  • Support proof-of-concept and prototype validation initiatives
  • Capture and analyze CAN logs and vehicle communication data
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python and CAPL
  • Utilize Vector tools including CANoe and CANalyzer for testing and diagnostics
  • Validate applications running on SOC, embedded Linux, and vehicle-connected platforms
  • Collaborate with software engineering, research, and vendor teams to identify and resolve issues
  • Support test planning, defect analysis, and continuous process improvement efforts

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of software testing and validation experience
  • Strong background in embedded systems and software testing
  • Experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, and CAPL scripting
  • Proficiency with Python and familiarity with C/C++
  • Experience with CAN data analysis and vehicle communication systems
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills

Preferred / Bonus Skills

  • Automotive industry experience
  • Experience with AI-driven applications or intelligent vehicle technologies
