The Board governs Nevada's gaming industry through strict regulation of all person, locations, practices, associations, and related Activities. The Board protects the integrity and stability of the industry through its investigative and licensing practices, the enforcement of laws and regulations, and holding gaming licensees to high standards. Through these practices, the Board is able to ensure the proper collection of taxes and fees that are an essential source of revenue for the State of Nevada.

Essential Qualifications Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, accounting, finance, economics, or other applicable degree. Preference is given to an applicant possessing a law degree or a certificate as a Certified Management Accountant or Certified Public Accountant. Job Duties Under immediate and general supervision of a supervisor or other designee, the Agent conducts on-site reviews of gaming and general business records of gaming licensees; conducts inspections to determine statutory and regulatory compliance; conducts counts of slots and gaming equipment; provides licensees with guidance as to appropriate maintenance of gaming revenue records; provides explanations and interpretations of the Gaming Control Act and Nevada Gaming Commission Regulations; and performs related work as required.
