Substitute Teacher
Job Summary:
The Substitute Teacher is responsible for maintaining a safe, positive, and productive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This role involves following lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring continuity of learning for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow the classroom teacher's lesson plans, instructions, and objectives.
  • Manage student behavior and uphold school rules and policies.
  • Create a respectful and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Provide instruction, facilitate learning activities, and supervise students during the school day.
  • Take attendance and maintain accurate records as required.
  • Communicate effectively with school staff regarding student needs, progress, and any concerns.
  • Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, and other settings as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree or teaching certification preferred.
  • Previous teaching or childcare experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different grade levels, subjects, and teaching styles.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a commitment to student learning and safety.
