Position Summary
The Troester Lab jointly affiliated with the Department of Epidemiology and the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher with interests in molecular epidemiology, genetics, or translational breast cancer research. The successful candidate will lead research efforts using rich molecular and epidemiologic data from the Carolina Breast Cancer Study (CBCS), a large, diverse population-based study. Projects will focus on identifying genetic and environmental risk factors for breast cancer and benign breast disease, with opportunities to work at the intersection of population health and molecular biology in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
PhD, MD or equivalent degree in related field.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Successful applicants will have a strong record of achievement, publications in cancer prevention and control, and a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree in behavioral science, epidemiology, nutrition, public health, or a related field. Coding and statistical analysis experience is helpful but not required.
