Job description

We are seeking a Pet Retail Sales Associate to join our team! You will resolve customer questions and offer solutions to drive company revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance.

  • Recommend products based on pet type, breed, age, and specific needs.

  • Build rapport with customers to encourage repeat visits and loyalty.

  • Operate the POS system, process transactions, and handle returns.

  • Promote sales, loyalty programs, and seasonal promotions.

  • Restock shelves, rotate inventory, and ensure accurate pricing.

  • Maintain store cleanliness, including aisles, displays, and restrooms.

  • Receive shipments, unpack merchandise, and organize stockroom.

  • Set up product displays and merchandising according to company standards.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of pet nutrition, supplies, toys, and wellness products.

Qualifications:

  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.

  • Comfort working around animals of all types.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 - 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings/weekends as needed.
