Role Overview
The Grocery Associate role involves promoting nutrition services, maintaining a clean and safe environment, assisting with inventory management, accurately scanning and bagging WIC products, and staying updated with WIC and CCAC communications.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide friendly client assistance, maintain facility floor appearance, respond to inquiries, and operates register. Promote nutrition services, event participation, and connection to additional resources. Maintain a flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Accurately scan and bag redeemed WIC products. Assist with inventory processes. Ensure the proper display, products, and rotation of merchandise, and reports products that are damaged or near expiration. Stock and clean shelves and coolers. Handle inventory by stocking, lifting, moving, rotating, and managing inventory and goods in support of store operations and customer service.
  • Responsible for maintaining knowledge of program and CCAC guidelines and procedures, and staying up to date, by attending meetings and reviewing email correspondence. Comply with CCAC policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all regulatory, licensing, or accreditation bodies while performing job expectations. Conduct work responsibilities in a timely manner and ensures a high level of quality in all instances.
  • Keep current with WIC and CCAC updates and employee communication.
  • Engage in ongoing learning, training, and skill development, seeking and applying feedback to continuously improve performance and contribute to team and organizational success.

PLEASE NOTE: Essential functions include all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling, or standing multiple times a day
  • Climb up and down up to 3 flights of stairs at a time
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs

  • Drug testing

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) 1-3 years relevant experience
  • Preferred Associate's Degree (AA) 3-5 years relevant experience

Certifications and Licensure
  • Preferred Food Handler Certification
