Amex Digital Labs is seeking a Senior Manager of Digital Product Management to join our digital wallets product team. Lab drives innovation at American Express by originating, incubating, and managing products and platforms that are essential to our customers' digital lives. Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of owning and delivering complex digital products from strategy through execution
  • Experience in fintech, financial services, payments, banking, or related industries with a strong understanding of the payments ecosystem
  • Demonstrated experience defining product strategy, prioritizing roadmaps, and successfully bringing customer-facing products to market
  • Experience partnering closely with engineering teams to translate customer and business needs into scalable technical solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to independently own a complex product area, exercise sound judgment, and operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
  • Experience leading large, cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders across multiple organizations without direct authority
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to balance customer needs, business objectives, and technical constraints to deliver exceptional product experiences
  • Analytical mindset with experience leveraging qualitative and quantitative data to make informed product decisions and measure success
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leaders, cross-functional stakeholders, and external partners
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or leading other product managers or product team members
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate competing demands, and drive execution across complex initiatives
  • Bachelor's degree required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing or managing digital wallet products, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, tokenization, NFC payments, or other mobile payment experiences
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to engage in architectural discussions, API integrations, platform capabilities, and technical tradeoff conversations with engineering teams
  • Experience working with external technology partners or platform providers to define, prioritize, and deliver customer-facing capabilities
  • Experience managing products in regulated environments, balancing customer experience, operational requirements, security, and compliance considerations
  • Experience leading global or multi-market product initiatives
  • Experience using experimentation, customer research, and analytics to validate hypotheses and continuously improve product performance
