Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls in accordance with DoD and NSA requirements
  • Support Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities for information systems and networks
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist with remediation efforts
  • Monitor systems and networks for cybersecurity threats, incidents, and compliance issues
  • Analyze security findings and recommend risk mitigation strategies
  • Assist with the application and validation of STIGs, patches, and security configurations
  • Respond to cybersecurity incidents and support recovery and reporting actions
  • Maintain cybersecurity documentation, system artifacts, and compliance records
  • Coordinate with engineers, system administrators, and government stakeholders on cybersecurity matters
  • Support continuous monitoring activities to maintain cyber resilience and operational readiness

MINIMUM SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION
Bachelor's or Master's degree in one of the following:
  • Cybersecurity
  • Computer Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Electronics Engineering
  • Mathematics with concentration in Computer Science

Certification Requirements (one of the following and must be current):
  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Network+
  • CompTIA Security+
  • SSCP (ISCยฒ)
  • CCNA-Security (Cisco)
  • CND (Certified Network Defender)

EXPERIENCE
  • 10 years experience with a Master's degree or 14 years experience with a Bachelor's degree
  • Preparing and implementing cybersecurity policies
  • Ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policies
  • Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities
  • Planning and implementing cybersecurity measures
  • Upgrading and monitoring cyber defense capabilities
  • Maintaining cyber-resilient networks
  • Conducting cybersecurity vulnerability assessments
  • Identifying risks and recommending remediation actions
  • Implementing risk mitigation strategies
  • Ensuring proper security controls are in place
  • Protecting digital files and electronic infrastructure
  • Responding to cybersecurity incidents/breaches
  • Re-establishing protections after security events
  • Preparing required cybersecurity reports

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
  • Familiarity with: NSA cybersecurity requirements and NSA cybersecurity tools and applications
  • Ability to use NSA-related tools in daily operations

SECURITY CLEARANCE
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Current DoD TS / SCI with Counter-Intel (CI) Poly security clearance required and must be maintained throughout employment.

LOCATION
  • The work location is N. Charleston, SC, with 0-5% travel expected. This is an on-site position.
